Chargepoly acts as a dedicated charge point operator (CPO) for electric heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), offering a fully integrated proprietary technology stack hardware plus software. Our tailored solution is optimised for the specific needs of electric truck fleets and has been rigorously tested with leading OEMs like Volvo, Renault Trucks, Daimler, Scania, and MAN.
We are unique in providing an all‑in‑one solution that covers the entire value chain. Every component, feature and software module is developed in‑house. In this rapidly developing HGV charging sector, relying on disparate technologies is not sustainable. That’s why our independence from third‑party vendors is a key competitive advantage.
Our stations use a centralised DC power architecture in which each charge port can deliver full vehicle charging capacity (typically 200 kW+). Vehicles plug in overnight and charge according to a smart scheduling algorithm that manages priority charging and power costs. Active switching ensures sequential charging and efficient power allocation.
Our patented distributed load planning system contrasts with Tesla’s load‑sharing model. It delivers superior load factor performance by minimising installed power. Our daisy‑chain configuration allows modular expansion for growing fleets and enables idle vehicles to disconnect while keeping the charge queue active maximising efficiency and reducing infrastructure needs.
Chargepoly holds two international patent families, plus trademarks and industrial design rights. We’re continuously monitoring competitor IP, and strict confidentiality protocols protect our proprietary software and hardware. In 2023, we were finalists in the French INPI IP excellence awards.
We aim to deliver optimal charging performance at the lowest total cost of ownership throughout the station lifecycle.
Our product engineering team comprises electronics, systems control, and software experts who develop and integrate both hardware and digital platform. Project engineering includes site-specific system design, cost modeling, specification, contractor coordination and commissioning. While we outsource station assembly to trusted industrial partners (in France and Canada), our site engineers maintain predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance via our Lucie digital platform.
Fleet operators love our Lucie interface intuitive and purpose-built. Facilities managers value our low-impact hardware footprint and trench-free layout. And clients appreciate locally made products “Made in France” in Europe, “Made in Canada” in North America.
- Basic smart charging: total output limited by network signals or site load constraints.
- Priority-driven Load Planning, integrating with clients’ Transport Management Systems via API.
- Demand-response: energy shifts to cheapest power periods, uses solar or curtails during peak/high-cost hours.
- Vehicle‑to‑grid capability: hardware‑ready for bidirectional charging, pending grid and vehicle compatibility upgrades.
Yes. Our Fleet tool offers charging history, vehicle-by-vehicle analytics, fault alerts and battery health prediction, plus public or third‑party charge booking and payment via credit card.
Yes. Our hardware can function with third-party management software, and our Lucie platform can supervise non‑Chargepoly chargers, though advanced features work only when both are combined.
