CPO: Charging Point Operator

The CPO (Charging Point Operator) is an entity responsible for the management and operation of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points.

Their role includes the installation, maintenance, and upkeep of charging stations, as well as managing user access and billing. CPOs can be specialist electric mobility companies or energy suppliers offering charging infrastructure. They play a key role in expanding the charging network, thus ensuring sufficient geographical coverage to meet the growing needs of EV drivers.

They may also offer additional services such as remote supervision and performance management of the charging points.
