Charging Roaming

Charging roaming refers to the ability for an Electric Vehicle (EV) driver to recharge their vehicle on a network of charging points located in a geographical area different from their point of departure, while still being able to access different charging point operators.

This feature allows for maximum flexibility, as it offers users the possibility to access a wide range of charging stations via a compatible card or mobile application, without worrying about the charging point’s operator. It often relies on agreements between different charging service providers (CPOs and EMSPs) to enable access, management, and billing in a transparent and interoperable manner.

This solution is particularly useful for long-distance journeys, where it is essential to be able to recharge easily at different points along the way.
