Battery Management System (BMS)

The Battery Management System (BMS) is an essential electronic system in any Electric or Hybrid Vehicle.

It manages, controls, and monitors all parameters related to the battery. Its primary function is to optimise battery performance while guaranteeing its safety and longevity. The BMS monitors cell voltage, current, temperature, and State of Charge (SoC) in real-time to prevent risky situations like overcharging, excessive discharging, or overheating. It also balances the cells to maintain a uniform charge, which is crucial for preserving the battery pack’s overall efficiency.

In essence, the BMS acts as the battery’s “pilot,” ensuring the Electric Vehicle‘s reliable, safe, and high-performing operation over the long term.
