Bioret accelerates Fleet Electrification with CHARGEPOLY

Following its previous adoption of natural gas-powered vehicles, Groupe Bioret is now embracing electric power to further reduce the carbon footprint of its fleet. The Toulouse-based transport operator has equipped the new site of its subsidiary In’TERPECH in Arpajon (Essonne, France) with an ultra-fast CHARGEPOLY electric charging station.

This move represents a significant milestone in Bioret’s sustainability journey. Having initially integrated LNG and CNG solutions, the Saint-Jory-based carrier is now prioritising electric energy to meet ambitious environmental targets. “When I joined the company in January 2023, my focus was on lowering greenhouse gas emissions,” explains Victor Bioret, Commercial and CSR Director and son of CEO Serge Bioret. “After a thorough analysis, electric power emerged as the most effective way to decarbonise our regular routes across France for express delivery clients.”

Since October 2023, Groupe Bioret has invested in thirteen electric vehicles, including eleven tractors, one rigid truck, and one box van.

Ultra-Fast Charging for Maximum Operational Efficiency

To power its electric tractors and rigid trucks at the Arpajon hub, CHARGEPOLY installed an ultra-fast charging station in September 2024. The station, equipped with three charging satellites, provides a total capacity of 200 kW, enabling Bioret to run inter-site shuttles with electric vehicles capable of 300 km range across Île-de-France.

Several factors guided Bioret’s choice of CHARGEPOLY:

  • Flexibility: three charging points ensure optimal utilisation of available power.
  • Compatibility: chargers support multiple truck brands for consistent performance.
  • Comprehensive project support: CHARGEPOLY’s team assisted throughout the planning and deployment process.

“Working with CHARGEPOLY gives us confidence,” adds Victor Bioret. “Their proven expertise in heavy-duty EV charging and experience with other leading industry operators made the partnership straightforward. We are excited to see our new station in operation.”
