As part of its energy transition, SITRANS LOGISTIQUE is taking a decisive step forward by introducing six electric trucks into its fleet and installing two ultra-fast charging stations in partnership with Chargepoly. This milestone reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable road transport.
A family-owned logistics and road transport group for four generations, SITRANS LOGISTIQUE is accelerating its decarbonisation strategy by electrifying part of its fleet and deploying cutting-edge charging infrastructure. This initiative is fully aligned with the group’s CSR commitments and its drive to reduce carbon emissions.
A transforming fleet
Today, SITRANS LOGISTIQUE operates 150 trucks and over 300 registered vehicles, more than half of which already run on B100 colza-based biofuel, significantly reducing their environmental impact. In 2024, the company added six fully electric tractors: two Volvo units in August and four Renault models in December.
With a range of 350 km, these trucks are ideally suited to the requirements of Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in the Greater Paris area.
“Thanks to these ultra-fast charging stations, our electric trucks will be able to recharge from 15% to 80% in just 1 hour 30 minutes, ensuring smooth operations without disrupting logistics flows,” explains Sébastien Grisval, Health, Safety & Environment Manager at SITRANS LOGISTIQUE.
According to Clément Dagnaux, Director of Business Development France & Southern Europe at Chargepoly:
“We are proud to support SITRANS LOGISTIQUE in this ambitious transition. Our ultra-fast charging solutions are designed to seamlessly integrate into hauliers’ operations, combining performance, reliability and scalability.”
A strategic partnership with Chargepoly
To deliver this project, SITRANS LOGISTIQUE selected Chargepoly, a leading provider of ultra-fast charging solutions for heavy-duty vehicles. Two 200 kW charging stations, each equipped with four charging satellites, will soon be operational at key company sites.
“Our collaboration with Chargepoly gives us access to a complete turnkey solution, specifically designed for HGVs. Their end-to-end expertise guarantees reliable, durable infrastructure – which is essential for our energy transition,” says Sébastien Grisval.
Edgard Sizaire, member of the SITRANS LOGISTIQUE management team, adds: “The fact that Chargepoly designs and manufactures its solutions in France was a real advantage for us. The project team provided dynamic and responsive support throughout the deployment. With commissioning now approaching, we are looking forward to seeing the station in full operation.”
Beyond installation, Chargepoly will also operate and maintain the infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and simplified fleet management for hauliers.
