Chargepoly is a specialised charge point operator exclusively focused on electric heavy truck fleets. We deliver a proprietary, vertically‑integrated offering, both hardware and software designed in-house, tailored to the rigorous demands of truck charging and validated with manufacturers such as Volvo, Daimler, Scania, MAN and Renault Trucks.
We provide a seamless, end‑to‑end charging platform. In a heavyweight industry such as electric trucking, piecing together third‑party components is inefficient. Our full control over hardware, software, and system integration ensures consistency, scalability, and long‑term reliability.
Our stations use a central DC power source connected to distributed modular charge points. Each charge point delivers up to the vehicle’s maximum charging capacity (typically above 200 kW). Vehicles plug in at the depot in the evening and leave fully charged after an overnight managed charging session using smart scheduling logic that balances priority departures and energy cost efficiency.
Chargepoly’s patented distributed architecture uses load planning instead of load sharing. This increases load factor efficiency in depot environments. Vehicles can disconnect while in standby mode without committing circuit capacity, unlike other systems. Additionally, our daisy‑chain setup allows easy scalability as fleet size grows.
Chargepoly owns two internationally filed patent families, registered trademarks, and product design rights. We maintain rigorous IP monitoring and enforce confidentiality and licensing policies for partners. Our IP robustness was recognised when we reached the finals of the French INPI IP awards in 2023.
Our goal: deliver peak charging performance with the lowest possible total cost of ownership over the entire lifespan of our infrastructure.
Our product engineering team includes system control engineers, electronics designers, and embedded software developers. They design circuit boards, develop onboard software, and define hardware specifications. Project engineering teams manage site design, quoting, contractor coordination, and commissioning. We outsource assembly locally, in France and Canada, while our field support engineers oversee preventive and corrective maintenance via our Lucie monitoring platform.
Fleet managers value the intuitive Lucie dashboard for operations control. Facility teams appreciate our compact footprint and trench‑minimizing deployment. And prospective partners in Canada and the US value locally assembled equipment.
- Standard smart charging that adapts to network or site limitations.
- Priority sequence charging integrated with the operator’s scheduling software through API.
- Demand‑response capabilities: charging aligned with lower‑priced energy windows or solar production.
- Potential for vehicle‑to‑grid (V2G) deployment, supported by both our hardware and software, pending EV and regulatory support.
Yes. We deliver a Fleet analytics service showing usage history, fault detection, battery health forecasts, as well as charging reservation and payment gateways for fleet users.
Absolutely. Our hardware can interface with third‑party software and our Lucie platform can manage non‑Chargepoly stations. However, the full spectrum of features, including load planning and V2G, is unlocked when using both our hardware and software together.
