High-power charging solutions to meet long-haul transport challenges Granby, Quebec – In a major collaboration, Nationex, Fize Électrique and Chargepoly are joining forces to electrify one of Quebec’s largest commercial fleets. With over 90 electric vehicles already in operation, Nationex is taking the next step by integrating long-range electric trucks capable of performing in harsh winter conditions.
Thanks to Chargepoly’s ultra-high-performance charging solutions, these vehicles cover up to 250 km per day, handling both long-distance transport and last-mile deliveries even during Quebec’s harsh winters. Nationex recently surpassed one million zero-emission parcel deliveries, demonstrating the viability of electric vehicles for logistics fleets.
This project is part of the Québec–Montréal Green Corridor, an initiative supported by the Quebec government under its ecological transition plan. The objective is to electrify major transport routes to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Reliable infrastructure to accelerate the transition
A cornerstone of this success is Chargepoly’s high-power charging technology. Capable of delivering up to 400 kW, Chargepoly chargers provide fast, reliable charging even in extreme weather conditions.
“Since installation, our drivers have experienced a smooth transition to electric vehicles thanks to a reliable, user-friendly infrastructure,” says Edwin Richard, Director of Special Projects and Sustainability at Nationex.
Collaboration for sustainable logistics
In partnership with Fize Électrique, responsible for integrating the charging solution, Nationex plans to electrify 80% of its routes between Montreal and Ontario by next year. This innovative project paves the way for more sustainable transport operations and could serve as a model for similar initiatives across North America and beyond.
“This partnership demonstrates that today’s technology can meet the challenges of long-haul transport. By combining our expertise, we can build logistics operations that are both sustainable and cost-effective,” says Laurent Guyon, CEO of Chargepoly America.
