Figuière Transports powers its construction sites with Chargepoly and strengthens its pioneering role in decarbonising Public Works

A well-established player in the construction industry in South-East France, family-run Figuière Transports, based in Rognac for over 40 years, has taken a major step forward in its energy transition. With the installation of its first high-power charging station, designed by Chargepoly, a regional specialist in charging solutions for electric lorries, the company is accelerating the electrification of its fleet.

From agriculture to major infrastructure projects

Originally focused on agriculture, Figuière has evolved over the decades into a trusted partner for complex public works: sensitive site redevelopment, rehabilitation, demolition, and large-scale infrastructure projects across the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Its clients include SNCF, the Port of Marseille, and the City of Martigues.

“We want to prove that industrial activity can go hand in hand with a genuine reduction in emissions. By electrifying our fleet, we gain in performance while meeting the increasingly strict environmental requirements on construction sites,” explains Cyril Podsiadlo, Operations & Workshop Manager at Figuière Transports.

Targeting –44% CO₂ by 2030

Already engaged for several years in an ambitious CSR strategy, the company has cut its CO₂ emissions by 21%. Its new target is a 44% reduction by 2030, supported by a €5 million investment plan in low-emission equipment.

The first achievement is a 46-tonne electric lorry now operating daily between Montfort and Manosque. It charges overnight at depot and benefits from a 200 kW fast-charge at midday, ensuring zero impact on operations.

A partnership built on trust

“We chose Chargepoly for the quality of their support and their ability to deliver a scalable solution designed for real-world use. The fact they manufacture locally, in France, is a real advantage. Above all, we felt a genuine commitment to building a long-term relationship of trust,” adds Julien Figuière, President of Figuière Transports.

A charging station “Made in the South”

The new station was designed and installed by Chargepoly, headquartered in Aix-en-Provence. It is based on a scalable satellite architecture, enabling the charging capacity to be upgraded over time without major infrastructure costs. The equipment is manufactured locally in partnership with Watt & Well, an engineering company based in Pertuis.

“This project perfectly illustrates our fleet-centric approach: we adapt charging to the client’s operational constraints, providing a turnkey service from the Advenir subsidy application right through to on-site commissioning,” says Clément Dagnaux, Director of Business Development France & Southern Europe at Chargepoly.

Technical support that makes the difference

In the public works sector, where qualified technical staff are scarce, responsiveness is critical. Chargepoly convinced Figuière with its 24/7 technical support, a rare commitment in this field.

“It’s this level of reactivity, along with the training provided to our own teams so we can handle small fixes ourselves, that really made the difference. They don’t just install a charger; they make sure we’re autonomous, operational, and confident,” says Cyril Podsiadlo.

Chargepoly also supported Figuière in preparing its full Advenir funding application, in collaboration with Avere-France. This administrative and technical assistance proved key to securing the subsidy swiftly.
