BERT&YOU accelerates fleet electrification with CHARGEPOLY

As part of its strategy to decarbonise its transport operations, logistics provider BERT&YOU has commissioned an ultra-fast charging station from specialist CHARGEPOLY in Sorgues (Vaucluse, France). A second installation is scheduled for July in the Drôme region.

BERT&YOU is strongly committed to sustainable transport solutions. Under the leadership of Yann Colin, the group has created an internal division fully dedicated to identifying, sourcing and deploying innovations aimed at decarbonising operations, using a mix of green energy solutions such as biofuels, gas, hydrogen and, for the past three years, electricity.

“In 2021 we began by electrifying the yard vehicles used to move trailers across our logistics sites. Since then, we have deployed seven,” explains Yann Colin, Director of Green Mobility at BERT&YOU. To strengthen this transition, the company acquired last year a Renault Trucks rigid lorry and three fully electric Volvo FM tractors for urban deliveries, increasing its zero-emission fleet to eleven vehicles.

Up to six charging points per station

To power its new Renault Trucks rigid and two of the Volvo tractors, BERT&YOU has invested in two ultra-fast charging stations designed and manufactured by CHARGEPOLY, based in Aix-en-Provence.

The first, installed in April at its Sorgues site, supplies the 16-tonne vehicle dedicated to deliveries in Marseille city centre. The second will become operational in July in Saint-Rambert-d’Albon (Drôme), providing electricity for two tractors collecting goods for an industrial client.

Each CHARGEPOLY station currently includes three 200 kW charging satellites, with the option to scale up to six charging points as BERT&YOU’s needs evolve. The HP200 “Power Unit” delivers 200 kW of installed capacity, ensuring robust and flexible charging performance.

Smart charging technology made in France

Several factors led BERT&YOU to choose CHARGEPOLY. First and foremost, technology mastery:

“CHARGEPOLY designs, manufactures and installs its own hardware and software solutions. This gives us full confidence in their reliability and guarantees strong after-sales support. Their involvement from the initial discussions through to commissioning was a real advantage,” notes Yann Colin.

The company also values the ‘Made in France’ dimension:
“In selecting partners, we prioritise agile French businesses such as CHARGEPOLY, with whom we can co-build the future,” he adds.

Lastly, CHARGEPOLY’s smart charging capabilities tipped the balance.
“The station, combining one Power Unit and three 200 kW satellites, offers remarkable flexibility with a compact footprint. Its software allows us to schedule charging based on operational constraints – such as working hours or battery size – which is a significant benefit,” explains the Green Mobility Director.

Between 2025 and 2027, BERT&YOU plans to deploy new charging stations across ten additional sites.
