Figuière Transports electrifies its sites with Chargepoly and reinforces its Role as a pioneer of decarbonisation in Public Works

A well-known player in the construction industry in the South-East, Figuière Transports, a family business established in Rognac for over 40 years, has just taken a new step in its energy transition. With the installation of a first high-power charging station designed by Chargepoly, a regional specialist in electric heavy goods vehicle charging, the company is accelerating the electrification of its fleet.

Historically focused on agriculture, Figuière has evolved over the decades to become a reference in complex public works: development of sensitive sites, rehabilitation, demolition, but also major infrastructure projects throughout the PACA region. The company works for clients such as SNCF, the Autonomous Port of Marseille, and the City of Martigues.

“We want to show that it is possible to reconcile industrial activity with a concrete reduction in emissions. By electrifying our fleet, we gain in performance while meeting the increasingly stringent environmental requirements on construction sites,” explains Cyril Podsiadlo, Operations and Workshop Manager at Figuière Transports.

-44% CO₂ Target by 2030

Already committed for several years to an ambitious CSR policy, the company has reduced its CO₂ emissions from its activities by 21%. Its new objective: to reach -44% in the medium term, by investing heavily in lower-emission equipment. A plan of 5 million euros is dedicated to this transformation.

First tangible result: a 46-tonne electric truck now operates daily between Montfort and Manosque, thanks to optimised overnight charging and rapid 200 kW charging at midday, without impacting operations.

“We chose Chargepoly for the quality of their support and their ability to offer an evolving solution, designed for field use. The fact that they produce in France, nearby, is a real plus. And above all, we felt a real desire to build a relationship of trust in the long term,” emphasises Julien Figuière, President of Figuière Transports.

A “Made in Sud” Station

Designed and installed by Chargepoly, whose headquarters are based in Aix-en-Provence, the station is based on an evolutive satellite architecture: it allows the charging capacity to be increased over time, without major additional infrastructure costs. The equipment is manufactured locally, in partnership with Watt & Well, an engineering company based in Pertuis.

“This project illustrates our ‘fleet-centric’ approach: we adapt the charging to the client’s logistical constraints, with a turnkey service, from the Advenir subsidy application to commissioning on site,” explains Clément Dagnaux, Commercial Development Director France and Southern Europe at Chargepoly.

Technical Support That Makes the Difference

In a sector like Public Works, where available technical teams are rare and in high demand, the ability to intervene quickly on site is crucial. Chargepoly convinced Figuière thanks to its technical support available 24/7, a rare commitment in this environment.

“It is this level of responsiveness, but also the support in training our teams to be able to intervene ourselves on small anomalies, that really made the difference. They don’t just install a charging point, they make sure we are autonomous, operational and confident,” adds Cyril Podsiadlo.

Chargepoly also assisted Figuière in completing the Advenir subsidy application file, in conjunction with Avere-France. Key administrative and technical support that enabled the company to obtain the grant within optimal timeframes.
