As part of its energy transition, SITRANS is taking a new step by integrating six electric trucks and installing two ultra-fast charging stations in partnership with Chargepoly. A structuring project that marks the company's commitment to more sustainable transport.
SITRANS LOGISTIQUE, a family-owned road transport and logistics group for four generations, is strengthening its commitment to the energy transition by electrifying its fleet and partnering with Chargepoly for the installation of ultra-fast charging stations. This initiative is in line with its CSR strategy and its actions to reduce its carbon footprint.
A Fleet Undergoing Major Change
SITRANS LOGISTIQUE currently has 150 motor vehicles and 300 vehicle registration documents, of which over 50% already run on B100, a rapeseed-based biofuel, enabling a significant reduction in environmental impact. Continuing its decarbonisation efforts, the company recently added six electric tractors to its fleet: two Volvos in August 2024 and four Renaults in December 2024. These vehicles, with a range of 350 km, are particularly suited to the requirements of the Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in the Paris region. “Thanks to these ultra-fast charging infrastructures, our electric trucks will be able to go from 15% to 80% of their range in 1 hour and 30 minutes, guaranteeing efficient operation, without impacting our logistics operations,” explains Sébastien Grisval, Health-Safety-Environment Manager.
Clément Dagnaux, Commercial Development Director France and Southern Europe at Chargepoly, adds, “We are proud to support SITRANS LOGISTIQUE in this ambitious transition. Our ultra-fast charging solutions are designed to integrate perfectly with the operational constraints of hauliers, ensuring performance and reliability.”
This collaboration is based on an integrated approach, with infrastructures designed to meet the specific needs of hauliers.
A Strategic Partnership with Chargepoly
To support its energy transition, SITRANS LOGISTIQUE has chosen Chargepoly, a specialist in ultra-fast charging solutions for heavy goods vehicles. Two 200 kW stations, each equipped with four charging satellites, will be installed at strategic sites of the company.
Sébastien Grisval, Health-Safety-Environment Manager, highlights, “Thanks to Chargepoly, we benefit from global expertise and solutions adapted to heavy goods vehicles. Their turnkey approach and end-to-end mastery ensure reliable and sustainable infrastructures, essential to our energy transition.”
Edgard Sizaire, from the management team at SITRANS LOGISTIQUE, adds, “The fact that Chargepoly designs and manufactures its solutions in France was a real plus for us. The project team supported us in a dynamic and responsive manner throughout the deployment. The commissioning is approaching, and we are eager to see the station in operation!”
In addition to the design and installation of the charging infrastructures, Chargepoly ensures their operation and maintenance to guarantee hauliers optimal availability and simplified management.
